May 17 - Celebrating Nanaimo's Chinese Settlers
Join the weekend events, hosted by the Central Vancouver Island Multicultural Society starting Friday, May 16 at the Harbourfront Library (various events and times). May 17th the Society will display artifacts, photographs and various videos. The displays and discussions start at 1:00pm near the Museum display in the Food Court Area at Port Place Shopping Centre and kicks off with a Lion Dance by Jacky Li.
