BROCHURE RACKS
Located in the administration hallway, you will find racks of brochures and magazines from various community groups, accommodations, tourist attractions, maps & schedules. If you are interested in displaying your brochures or would like more information, please contact the Downtown Nanaimo Partnership at 754-8141.
CHARITY BAZAARS
From time to time we offer charitable community groups participation in our shopping centre charity bazaar. This community service event offer groups the opportunity to inform the public and to raise funds through the sale of baked goods, hand crafted items, books and raffles. There is no charge for participation and tables are alloted on a first come first served basis. To have your group added to our mailing list please contact the administration office or download the upcoming Charity Bazaar Letter and application and submit via fax (250 753-3540). COMMUNITY EVENTS BOARDS
We have four poster boards located near the Food Court for notices under the following headings: Community Service, Learning & Leisure, Theatre & Entertainment, and Sales & Service. For a free 2 week posting (max. size 11x17) deliver your poster to the Green Communities store for date-stamping. The staff at Green Communities will display your poster.
SENIOR’S DAY
If you are 55 years or better you can save at Port Place Shopping Centre on the last Monday of every month. Participating stores offer a variety of reductions on sales and services chosen specifically for Senior’s. Discounts vary from 10-50%.
WHEELCHAIRS
Port Place Shopping Centre has a wheelchair available for customer use on an as-needed basis. It is available from the Administration Office, at no cost, and must be signed in and out. (London Drugs also has one wheelchair for customer use.) Please call Judy Carlson at 753-3545 if you would like to reserve the wheel chair.
